FREE Weekend Wine Tasting

f1423727560830_3947020_60I was having a rather difficult debate about which white wine to pour for everyone over the weekend, then I happened to go to a friend’s birthday dinner at one of my favorite PDX restaurants, Bar Avignon, and the answer was made obvious. The 2013 LIONEL BUSSY Chablis “Vieilles Vignes” we’re showing off is simply amazing! Chardonnay as only the Chablisienne can do, from vines averaging 75+ years old. Incredible intensity and fruit quality, like drinking mineral infused crisp apples sprinkled with citrus zest. I was in love from taste one. Awesome food affinity, and for the price it is, while not inexpensive, a legitimate steal. I can’t wait to pour it for you! The reds we have to accompany this beauty are not so bad on their own merit, if I may, so all in all four very good reasons to stop by VINO and sample for FREE. Saturday 11-6 and Sunday 12-5.
-2013 LIONEL BUSSY Chablis $23.95
-2011 NADA Barbera Superiore
$14.95…you know what a huge Barbera fan I am, so I can assure you this bargain bottle is spot on!
-2009 TINTO DO ANFORA Alentejano Tinto
$11.95…another incredible deal from Portugal that is drinking perfectly. Plus it’s about $5 a bottle off its usual price!
-2013 DON RODOLFO Tannat “Viña Cornejo Costas”
$10.95…a rare 100% tannat from Mendoza that is going to find its way into our next Value Case, but I couldn’t wait to show it off!
