FREE Weekend Wine Tasting!

>>> SATURDAY/SUNDAY SAMPLING <<<
I’m gNot only will be able to taste through three os those Value Case bargains written up in this week’s VINO E-Special, but just dropping into my grateful lap is a Cotes du Rhone deal that I’m super excited by! Saturday from 11-5:30 and Sunday 12-5:00 the following fabulous foursome will be open and waiting for during this FREE weekend wine soirée. And feel free to bring some snacks along and relax with a glass!
On the last three I’ve included my write ups from the Value Case offer
~ 2019 CLOS ST. ANTONIN Cotes du Rhone …$18.95
Truly a “baby Chateauneuf” with great intensity and character, and a wine that the last time it graced our shelves was $22.95!
~ 2022 THREE WINE CO. “Faux Pas” Red …$15.95
“I can already tell this light, bouncy, and very chillable red from Contra Costa-based old vine zin master Matt Cline is going to be in regular rotation at my house this spring and summer. Jumping with pomegranate, raspberry, and pepper, this is a perfect party wine for apps and anything off the grill. Attesting to the quality, it gets even better after an hour or two of being open. A blend of carignan, zinfandel, petite sirah, and mataro that comes in at a drink at will 13.5% abv (but seems lighter), this is a delightfully drinkable surprise!”
~ 2019 LA TRACA Bobal “Valencia” …$12.95
“You know what they’re famous for in Valencia, don’t you? That’s right, paella! And while I haven’t had paella in Valencia, I’m guessing that what you’ll find on a lot of dinner tables are reds exactly like this robust wine made from 100% bobal. Bursts with wild raspberry, plums, earth, and minerals, this has the requisite texture and drinkability be stellar with paella in all its delicious forms. Heck, anything you pair this with will probably be a great match. I’ll leave it to you all to explore your options!”
~ 2022 OLIVIER GESSLER Cotes du Gascogne Blanc …$13.95
“From super cool importer Mary Taylor’s stable of small scale, family run Euro wineries, this was a huge hit whenI  brought in the ’21 vintage last year. Like the Saint Lannes above as it’s a blend of ugni blanc and colombard, with a dose of sauvignon blanc that adds a palate awakening herbal/citrus snap. It’ll be fun for you guys to compare the two. And btw, when it comes to preference, I say YES to both!!”
